The persnickety sleuth, played to perfection by David Suchet, relies on his "little grey cells" and help from his friends Captain Hastings (Hugh Fraser) and Miss Lemon (Pauline Moran) to solve the most intricate mysteries of the Art Deco era. Mrs Oliver is asked to devise a murder hunt for a Devon fête, but her sense of foreboding summons Poirot to the scene. Her fears are realized when the girl playing murder victim winds up truly murdered. This is one of my favorite Agatha Christie books.
